Ministry of Trade and Industry

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) is the executive ministry of the Teiko Government tasked to expand Teiko trade, industries and investments as the means to generate jobs and raise income for all Teikonians thus acting as catalyst for economic growth. It also tasked to regulate all private business related institutions and trade patterns. MTI is responsible for monitoring trade balance all products that are imported and exported by Teiko.

HISTORY
The Ministry of Trade and Industry started out as Ministry of Trade and Commerce and was established in 1985 by the Presidential Order of then Premier J to promote Teiko's trade and industry into the global arena. A new Ministry of Commerce was established in 1990 thus the name Ministry of Trade and Industry was adopted. Since then, the ministry has operated under five (four are listed below) offices with the Regional Economic Planing Office being removed and turned into an autonomous ministry in 1996.
