Short background:

Wei Liu is one the few Teiko diplomats of foreign descent and ethnicity. He has been a public servant for 13 years working in the Ministry of Internal and External Communications (MICE)  as Chairman of the Department of Protocols from 2000-2005 and as Commissioner for the Department of Consular Affairs from 2005-2008. He was appointed minister for MICE in late 2008 by Teiko Premier Seijuro Akashi which was then conferred by the Central-46 in their 2009 Annual Caucus. As of now, he is single and has no dependents, which is also not common for many Teiko dignitaries.
